A brand new film from Kriyate, called “For Tomorrow”, was released on the disappearance day of Srila Madhavendra Puri, which is also the celebration of Sri Advaitacarya’s Shantipur festival. This film reveals the timeless sacred beauty of Mayapur through the innocent eyes of a young boy, Purushottam. As Srila Prabhupada wrote in the fifth Canto of the Bhagavatam, Mayapur is the best among all the places in the universe:

“Within this universe this earth is the best planet and that on this planet the land of Bharata-varsa is the best; in the land of Bharatavarsa, Bengal is still better, in Bengal the district of Nadia is still better, and in Nadia the best place is Navadvipa because Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu appeared there to inaugurate the performance of the sacrifice of chanting the Hare Krishna maha-mantra.
“Therefore this is the best among all the places in the universe. The Krishna Consciousness movement has established its center in Mayapur, the birthsite of Lord Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu, to give men the great opportunity to go there and perform a constant festival of sankirtana-yajna and to distribute prasada to millions of hungry people hankering for spiritual emancipation. This is the mission of the Krishna Consciousness movement.” — (SB 5.19.24)

We first get an intimate glimpse into the daily lives of the Gurukula students, who have come from all over the world but now call Mayapur home. As they study, worship, serve and play, these most fortunate children are learning to please Krishna together in a most auspicious, idyllic atmosphere. Then we follow Purushottam on his first tour of the Temple of the Vedic Planetarium, a profoundly moving experience which strengthens his faith and gratitude to Srila Prabhupada.

Afterwards, he shares his realizations about the importance of the new temple and the role it will play in spreading Krishna consciousness around the world. He prays for empowerment to take up responsibility, and to find a way to contribute in the future that will make Srila Prabhupada proud. His optimism and earnest anticipation for the new temple is both touching and
contagious.

We are reminded that there is no age limit for loving Krishna, and that this temple is not only for us but will be a legacy and shelter for our children and for so many future generations of devotees. Mayapur is already a spiritual sanctuary in this bleak age of Kali-yuga, and it will only flourish more and more as we unite to build our future together. Like Purushottam, we should all seriously engage our time and energy to serve Sri Mayapur Dham in whatever way we can, to ensure that the TOVP is finished as soon as possible.

“Krishna is not ungrateful but rather He sees all our efforts and appreciates our sincere service. Simply He wants to see that we are engaging our time and energy in His service. And you always remember to abide by the laws of Krishna as described by His bona fide Representative, and the passage of going back to Godhead is assured. This is Krishna’s Mercy.”

LORD BRAHMA: TO LIVE IN THE SPIRITUAL DHAMA( NAVADVIPA ) AND RECITE THE NAME OF GAURA IS THE ONLY ASPIRATION OF THE DEVOTEES

Lord Brahma was pleased with his seven sons and told them, `Go to Navadvipa and sing the glories of Gaura, then you will easily attain prema. Whoever gets the mercy of the dhama, gets the association of devotees. Then, by worshiping in the association of devotees, you will become absorbed in krishna-prema. That is the supreme activity. Whoever gets attraction for Navadvipa will receive the benediction of living in Vraja. To live in the spiritual dhama and recite the name of Gaura is the only aspiration of the devotees.’

“The seven rishis took their father’s instructions to heart and came to this place. When they arrived, they engaged in dancing and chanting the name of Hari. They begged for gaura-prema while singing the Lord’s glories in a loud voice, `O Gaurahari, be merciful and reveal Yourself to us just once! Being offenders, we have followed many paths, but now we are taking to the path of devotional service.’

“The rishis underwent austerities and became firmly situated in devotional service by worshiping Gauranga. They completely gave up eating and sleeping and simply recited the name of Gaura. Around noon (madhyahna), the all-merciful Lord Gauranga appeared before the rishis.
