"When brahmanas and saintly person's are honored, they part with their pious activities, giving them to those who honor them and render them service. Therefore, as stated in the Bhagavad-gita (4.34): tad viddhi pranipatena pariprasnena sevaya: one should try to approach a spiritual master submissively and render service unto him" (Srila Prabhupada, Srimad-Bhagavatam 5.15.11 Purport)
Addition:
Every day we are trying to serve Srila Prabhupada by following His unique instructions tailor made for His own personal followers/disciples. By our look, our kirtan and our preaching we will be easily recognizable throughout the entire universe as Srila Prabhupada's dancing white elephants.
Just as our Gurudeva is already famous even up to Brahmaloka, so also are His faithful disciples. We may not have the looks and bodies of the Demigods, we may not have the voices like the heavenly musicians of Gandhavas, however, our steadfastness and complete conviction in the most glorious instructions imparted by the superior spiritual master, A.C Bhaktivedanta Svami Prabhupada is second to none.
Although we insignificants were born in the ghost pit of Maya, with every disqualification imaginable, and more degraded than monkeys, hogs and dogs, the power and glory of our Gurudev, Srila Prabhupada has made us the envy of all thoughtful beings even up to Brahmaloka. Like Krsna says, 'the servant enjoys on the same level as the master' And what motivates Gurudeva's faithful few?
Not fame, not profit, not adoration nor the accumulation of unlimited pious merit, not to mention a massive tidal wave of spiritual advancement. NO! NO!
What motivates us is a spontaneous undying love, devotion and over-all appreciation and gratitude to His Divine Grace for giving all living entities His unconditional love, by so gracefully repeating the most merciful teachings of Sri Krsna Caitanya Mahaprabhu. How do we repay such mercy? We can't. All we can do is to ever remain loyal and faithful followers/disciples of His divine lotus foot-steps, life after life.
